An ancient letter detailing the artistic achievements of Annibal Caro in designing a fountain for Monsignor Gaddi, where Caro explains the structure, design details, decoration, and water flow system of the fountain, including how the water creates beautiful visual and auditory effects through different pipes and containers.

Sound is an eternal dynamic attribute of all landscapes, and the sound environment is one of the main factors in people's experience of a place. Since the interdisciplinary concept was first introduced about 50 years ago in music theory and acoustic ecology, soundscapes have steadily developed as a field of study, attracting significant scientific research interest across various sectors, including the arts, social sciences, urban planning, and noise control engineering. We are constantly immersed in a world of sound, and most of the information people receive comes from both vision and hearing, with hearing serving as a complement to vision.

Against landscape professional background, the concept of the soundscape was chosen as the entry point. Using the elements of water flow and auditory effects from the letter as creative inspiration, and employing structuralist and deconstructionist techniques, a small soundscape installation was designed. This installation draws patterns from different states of water surfaces and takes inspiration from Van Gogh's "Starry Night."
